Grief and Loss

flowerCoping with Grief......A cut finger is numb before it bleeds, it bleeds before it hurts, it hurts until it begins to heal, it forms a scab and itches until finally, the scab is gone and a small scar is left where once there was a wound....

Grief is the deepest wound you have ever had. Like a cut finger, it goes through stages and leaves a scar...

The emotions of grief.....Everyone experiences loss and subsequent grief.  Some people sail through the experience with little difficulty, while others seem to struggle on a daily basis.  It is important to realize that the individual will define the degree of loss by the value you place on the person or object that was lost. There are normally five stages of grief.  Individuals will go in and out the each phase at different times.  For more information on grief and loss issues, review the following websites.
